Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Emerson's Cars!
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Emerson’s Cars. By making a booking, you agree to the terms set out below.
1. Bookings
All bookings must be made in advance via phone or email and are subject to availability.
Customers must provide accurate journey details, including pickup time, addresses, flight details (where applicable), passenger numbers and luggage requirements.
Emerson’s Cars reserves the right to refuse or cancel a booking at its discretion.
2. Airport Transfers & Flight Monitoring
For airport pickups, accurate flight information must be provided at the time of booking.
We monitor flights to adjust pickup times in the event of delays.
Waiting time begins after the agreed grace period from the actual landing time.
Failure to provide correct flight information may result in additional charges.
3. Waiting Time
A reasonable complimentary waiting period may be included for airport pickups.
For non-airport journeys, a 10-minute grace period applies. Additional waiting time may be charged.
4. Cancellations & No-Shows
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a charge.
Failure to attend the pickup location without notice (no-show) may result in the full fare being charged.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms and methods will be agreed at the time of booking.
Full payment is due at the end of the journey unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to make payment may result in refusal of future services and recovery action if necessary.
6. Delays & Liability
While we aim to provide punctual service, Emerson’s Cars shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including traffic conditions, accidents, weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown , security or airport delays.
We are not responsible for missed flights, appointments or onward connections due to unforeseen circumstances.
7. Luggage
Passengers are responsible for ensuring luggage requirements are suitable at the time of booking.
We are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by proven negligence.
Passengers must check the vehicle for personal items before exiting.
8. Child Seats
Child seats must be requested at the time of booking.
While we will make reasonable efforts to provide a child seat if requested, availability cannot be guaranteed. If we are unable to provide one, it is the customer’s responsibility to supply a suitable child seat for the journey.
Additonally, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure that the correct child restraint is used in accordance with current UK law and safety regulations.
Emerson’s Cars accepts no liability for improper installation or use of child seats provided by the customer.
9. Passenger Conduct
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if a passenger:
Is under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Behaves in an abusive or threatening manner
Causes damage to the vehicle
Poses a safety risk
Any damage to the vehicle may result in cleaning or repair charges.
10. Licensing
Emerson’s Cars operates under licence issued by South Gloucestershire Council.
